The New Datasafe 8x DVD+R Printable | Datasafe kindly sent me samples latest 8x DVD+R media. Although tops different - one follows white/silver design previous Datasafe DVD+R other a white printable surface - mid code. I just produce one review discs

I burnt films media tested playback compatibility. played smoothly in my DVD players. I burnt media in drives PIONEER DVR-108 ,NEC ND-3500AG Memorex DVDDLRWL1 F16 BENQ DW1620 LITEON SOHW1633S TEAC DV-W516G PLEXTOR PX-712SA
my test drives capable burning 8x media an added bonus I was able burn 12x speed BenQ DW 1620 Pioneer DVR-108 & Plextor PX-712SA.

LITEON SOHW1633S burnt at 8x Speed in 8mins 37secs

TEAC DV-W516G burnt 8x Speed in 8min 38secs

drives burnt good discs had problems in playback. Teac did 1 read error. discs burnt 8x speed in Pioneer Benq & NEC produced exceptionally good results even when burnt 12x speed results still good. Teac & Liteon produced worst results followed Memorex although graphs erratic resultant discs played back flawlessly a wide range DVD players. I timed recording times drives 8X speed 12x speed here list fastest first

exception Liteon drives discs produced excellent burns even Liteon burns did give any playback problems. printable surface printable version discs an area 42mm X 118mm smooth clear defined edges produces vivid print quality my Epson R300 add bonus being able burn satisfactory 12x speed stock firmware most popular drives I say "Datasafe a Winner "
