The new firmware for the Pioneer DVR-109/109BK and DVR-A09XLA/B/C is v1.57. The changelog shows increased quality and compatibility updates and also adds multi-border recording for DVD-R DL.
As always we recommend to update your drives to the latest firmware. Read the installation instructions carefully though, as is firmware updating things can go wrong.
